Unit 3: Dreams

In the world of dreams the rules of reality do not work. Sometimes we remember shocking dreams or wake up in the middle of the night after a terrible nightmare, but we are always confused thinking what the dream may mean.

Read these texts about common dreams and get a general idea of their meaning. You can check your answers clicking on comments.

Ready for a video. Watch this one and say which fact is the most surprising for you and why. After that, click on the link below and do the listening activitiy about sleeping (it's a bit difficult;  to read the script, click on text page)

Let's finish this entry with a revision of tenses. Thanks to EOI Langreo for the activities.

  1. DREAMS: All of them show some kind of anxiety or worry, but this is the general meaning of each dream:

    a) CHASE: You run away when you have a problem and don't confront it. Pay attention to the chaser and the distance between the chaser and you.

    b) TEST: It reflects your fear of not being prepared or good enough. You are worried about other people's judgements.

    c) FALLING: It indicates a sense of failure or inferiority. There are insecurity and instability in your life.

    d) FLYING: It represents your sense of power and freedom. Pay attention to your feelings when you fly.

    e) NAKED: It shows your vulnerability and fear of showing your true self. Consider the reaction of people around you and how you feel.
